The set for the RTE News was designed by Marcella Power of the Production Design Department in RTE. The set comprises large banks of seamless Barco video wall displays. The result is an unrivalled rear projection system. The video walls were skirted with an ultramarine blue laminate.

A crescent shaped desk sits on a ros (rostrum / stage) which was carpeted and in parts laminated with a Formica. The desk has both a satinised glass top and an edge lit glass shelf both with integrated LEDs. The face of the desk is laminated with an ultramarine blue Formica laminate.
